Yes I have been playing games but life has prevented me from posting anything about these very good games I have been playing the last month or so.
First off I started out late last month with Ghostbusters hoping it would fill my need for the 80's great movies that I've been missing. This was a pretty good game overall, I did have some issues with it; one it seemed extremely dark (even with the brightness settings turned up), along with bad level design in leading you where you were supposed to go next or what to do & finally bad AI. The AI would ramp up in some random areas providing me with playing that section over & over again to my delight. With that negativity off my chest, I still had a good time with the PK meter, firing streams of different colors & goo at ghosts all game long. The story was not to bad and the dialogue and voice acting was spot on as expected with the original cast from the movie involved. Definitely worth checking out.
I played Splosion Man in between games for the last month or so & I heard someone else say that they could only handle it in small chunks. That seems to be the deal for me also, it was nice to turn it off when I got frustrated and come back at it later. The levels are excellent and very challenging to any gamer. The simple mechanics with the great levels provided great speed and fun for all 50 or so levels. I am going to go back and complete the levels I took "the way of the coward", yes I had to do it sometimes. The ending is great & must be experienced.
Wolfenstein was the latest game that I dove into and had a great time. I have always wanted to play a Wolfenstein game since I never have, I know poor me or what the hell is wrong with you! BJ is one hell of a Rambo, super solider that gets some great powers from the Nazi Veil that he has discovered. These powers make for a run of the mill shooter into above average one, especially if you like vaporizing Nazis. I do not like WWII games but the Veil makes for some fun times and the boys at Raven have done a great job crafting this game. Even if the hub world was a little annoying at times. This is another one to check out for shooter fans!
